BHS Tabletop H1 profit climbs 24.4% YOY

BHS Tabletop AG said its normalized net income for the first half came to 36 euro cents per share, a gain of 25.4% from 29 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €1.2 million, a gain of 24.4% from €989,630 in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 10.0% year over year to €61.2 million from €55.6 million, and total operating expenses increased 10.3% from the prior-year period to €59.0 million from €53.5 million.

Reported net income grew 40.6% from the prior-year period to €1.8 million, or 54 cents per share, from €1.3 million, or 38 cents per share.
