21st Century Fox Inc.'s FOX News Channel (US) promoted six executives as part of the network's new programming leadership team, effective immediately.
Meade Cooper, who was named senior vice president of programming, will be responsible for Monday through Sunday prime-time and opinion shows, the company said June 12. Cooper previously was vice president of prime-time live/programming.
John Finley was promoted to senior vice president of development and production. Finley replaced Jeff Hark, who retired after 21 years at the network overseeing the production unit. Ron Mitchell, former senior producer of "The O'Reilly Factor," was named vice president of story development, prime-time programming. Mitchell will manage story advancement across the network's top rated prime-time shows.
Also, the network tapped Lauren Petterson senior vice president of morning programming and talent development. Petterson previously was vice president of morning programming.
Amy Sohnen, who has been promoted to vice president of talent development, will manage and develop on-air talent and contributors. Sohnen previously was the executive producer of "The O'Reilly Factor."
Jill Van Why, who previously served the network as senior director of programming and production, will now serve as vice president of programming operations, overseeing all aspects of production and programming operations.
