Tallgrass Energy Partners LP's subsidiary Tallgrass Pony Express Pipeline LLC launched a binding open season seeking additional shipper commitments for transportation service on a planned extension of the Pony Express pipeline system.
Tallgrass has already received a commitment on the proposed extension, according to a June 1 news release. The Platteville extension would transport light crude petroleum, or condensate, from a receipt point near Platteville in Weld County, Colo., as well as other proposed receipt points such as one at Saddle Butte Pipeline LLC's Milton terminal near Platteville.
Delivery points would be at Buckingham, Colo.; El Dorado, Kan.; Ponca City, Okla.; and Pony Express' six final terminal destinations in Cushing, Okla., under a local tariff that allows for future additions of delivery points.
Depending on commitments received, Pony Express may expand capacity to provide transportation from Colorado to Oklahoma. The open season is scheduled to close July 17.
