US hotels see RevPAR and ADR rise, occupancy fall

U.S. hotels recorded mostly positive performance for the weekended July 16, according to STR data.

Year over year, ADR increased 3.4% to finish the week at $128.12,and RevPAR increased 1.9% to $99.33. Occupancy fell 1.4% to 77.5%.

Atlanta saw the largest rise in ADR of the top 25 U.S. markets,increasing 11.0% to $119.61. Philadelphia, Pa.-N.J., recorded the largest boostin occupancy, with the metric rising 7.2%, to 83.6%, and logged the highest RevPARuptick at 16.6% to $112.91.

Houston recorded the biggest ADR decrease, declining 6.4% to$99.30. The market also saw RevPAR down 20.4% to $62.88, the largest decrease, andreported the steepest decline in occupancy, dropping 14.9%, to 63.3%.
