National Grid seeks proposals for default service in Massachusetts

Massachusetts Electric Co. and Nantucket Electric Co., both doing business as National Grid, issued a request for power supply proposals for default service in Massachusetts.

National Grid is seeking proposals for 50% of load share for the industrial customer group blocks for the Nov. 1, 2017, to Jan. 31, 2018 period; 50% of load share for the commercial customer group blocks for the Nov. 1, 2017, to April 30, 2018, and May 1, 2018, to Oct. 31, 2018 periods; and 12.5% of load share for the residential customer group blocks for the Nov. 1, 2017, to April 30, 2018, and May 1, 2018, to Oct. 31, 2018, periods.

Interested bidders should submit their background and financial information by 5 p.m. ET on Aug. 25. The company will evaluate the respondents' qualification and notify any respondent that does not qualify before indicative pricing is due.

Qualified bidders should provide indicative pricing by 10 a.m. ET on Sept. 6, and final pricing by 10 a.m. ET on Sept. 13. The company requests that the final pricing be valid until 1 p.m. ET.
