Bangkok Post PCL said its first-quarter normalized net income came to a loss of 14 satang per share, compared with a loss of 8 satang per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 69.9 million baht, compared with a loss of 41.5 million baht in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 15.6% from negative 8.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 12.4% year over year to 454.2 million baht from 518.5 million baht, and total operating expenses declined 4.9% year over year to 559.3 million baht from 588.2 million baht.
Reported net income came to a loss of 97.7 million baht, or a loss of 20 satang per share, compared to a loss of 93.7 million baht, or a loss of 19 satang per share, in the year-earlier period.
As of May 13, US$1 was equivalent to 35.48 baht.
