JD Sports Fashion PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal full year ended Jan. 31 came to 6 Great British pence per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 7 pence per share.
EPS increased 22.8% year over year from 5 pence.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £61.3 million, a gain of 22.8% from £49.9 million in the full year ended Feb. 1, 2014.
The normalized profit margin declined to 4.0% from 4.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 25.1% on an annual basis to £1.52 billion from £1.22 billion, and total operating expenses grew 25.3% year over year to £1.42 billion from £1.13 billion.
Reported net income increased 20.9% year over year to £68.5 million, or 7 pence per share, from £56.6 million, or 6 pence per share.
