Monday Express: Goldman Sachs faces criminal charges over 1MDB

* Malaysia has filed criminal charges against three Goldman Sachs units and former executive Timothy Leissner for their roles in the sale of $6.5 billion in bonds issued by 1Malaysia Development Bhd., according to The (Malaysia) Edge Markets.

* Citigroup intends to exit from Citi Orient Securities, its joint venture with Shanghai-based Orient Securities.

* Wintrust Financial has acquired Elektra Holding and unit Chicago Deferred Exchange in a $51.9 million cash deal.

* After its announcement to offer a no-fee, 3% interest checking and savings account drew criticism, online brokerage firm Robinhood Financial rebranded the offering and said it will work with regulators to launch its cash management program.

* There will likely be further disruption in the financial markets as central banks move to return to their pre-crisis monetary policy settings, the Bank for International Settlements said in its quarterly review.

* President Donald Trump named Mick Mulvaney interim White House chief of staff. Mulvaney is the director of the Office of Management and Budget and former acting director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
