Tapestry appoints CEO/brand president of Kate Spade

U.S. luxury fashion company Tapestry Inc. said March 23 that it appointed Anna Bakst as CEO and brand president of Kate Spade, effective March 26.

Bakst will succeed Craig Leavitt, who left the Kate Spade brand after it was acquired by Tapestry in 2017. Bakst will be responsible for all worldwide aspects of the brand and will report to Tapestry CEO Victor Luis.

Prior to her appointment, Bakst was group president of accessories and footwear at luxury apparel brand Michael Kors Holdings Ltd.
