Kroll affirms Investar debt ratings

Kroll Bond Rating Agency on March 8 affirmed Investar Holding Corp.'s senior unsecured debt rating of BBB, subordinated debt rating of BBB- and short-term debt rating of K3.

It also affirmed subsidiary Investar Bank's deposit and senior unsecured debt ratings of BBB+, subordinated debt rating of BBB and short-term deposit and debt ratings of K2.

The Baton Rouge, La.-based company's ratings reflect, among other factors, its "robust risk management infrastructure implemented by veteran community bankers with strong ties to local operating markets." The ratings are constrained by a "significant concentration in spread-derived revenue ... and comparatively weaker core funding metrics."

The outlook on all long-term ratings is "stable."
