Thor Industries Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended April 30 came to $1.38 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of $1.43 per share.
EPS climbed 25.1% year over year from $1.10.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $72.7 million, a gain of 23.0% from $59.1 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 5.7% from 5.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 9.4% year over year to $1.28 billion from $1.17 billion, and total operating expenses rose 8.2% year over year to $1.17 billion from $1.08 billion.
Reported net income grew 24.8% on an annual basis to $79.4 million, or $1.51 per share, from $63.7 million, or $1.19 per share.
