Equinor's board of directors elects new members

The board of directors of Norway-based oil giant Equinor ASA, formerly known as Statoil ASA, elected new members Anne Drinkwater and Jonathan Lewis on June 5.

Jon Erik Reinhardsen was re-elected as chair and Roy Franklin as deputy chair of the board. Jeroen van der Veer, Wenche Agerup, Bjørn Tore Godal and Rebekka Glasser Herlofsen were again named as shareholder-elected members of the board.

From 1978 to 2012, Drinkwater was employed at BP PLC and held a number of positions in the company. From 2009 to 2012, she was CEO of BP Canada Inc.

In December 2017, Lewis joined Capita as CEO. Lewis came to Capita from Amec Foster Wheeler PLC, a global consulting, engineering and construction company, where he was CEO from 2016 to 2017. Lewis held a number of senior roles at Halliburton Co. from 1996 to 2016.
