Boardriders Inc. on Feb. 6 said it appointed Chief Turnaround Officer Dave Tanner as its new CEO, effective immediately.
The appointment comes after Boardriders CEO Pierre Agnes went missing at sea on Jan. 30. French authorities ended their search a day after his boat was found ashore.
According to the release, Tanner had been scheduled to become CEO upon closing of the company's acquisition of Billabong International Ltd., which is expected to happen in the first half of 2018.
Boardriders also appointed Global CFO Thomas Chambolle as the interim president of its Europe, Middle East and Africa operations. Meanwhile, Greg Healy will remain global president and president of the company's APAC business.
