Wells Fargo & Co. fired 22 employees in its foreign-exchange business, Bloomberg reported May 22, citing "a person briefed on the matter."
The job cuts occurred in St. Louis and Atlanta, the news report said, as the company's operations in these markets are being moved to other offices. A company spokeswoman confirmed the job cuts, Bloomberg said.
The Bloomberg report added that some staff are being relocated, while others are leaving the company.
