Telefónica SA struck a new commercial wholesale deal with Orange SA for fiber optic network assessment.

The deal, which is an extension of the companies' 2016 agreement, allows Orange to assess Telefonica's fiber-to-the-home network in nonregulated areas defined by the current regulation, according to a Feb. 22 news release.

Also, Orange will ensure wholesale revenues in all of Telefonica's footprint in exchange of competitive prices in nonregulated areas.
