Encho fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Encho Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥11.06 per share, a decrease of 13.6% from ¥12.79 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥151.3 million, a decline of 13.6% from ¥175.0 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 1.3% from 1.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 8.4% year over year to ¥11.54 billion from ¥12.60 billion, and total operating expenses declined 8.2% year over year to ¥11.25 billion from ¥12.25 billion.

Reported net income decreased 43.7% on an annual basis to ¥152.0 million, or ¥11.11 per share, from ¥270.0 million, or ¥19.74 per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
