Ramaco posts recovering Q4, full-year 2018 results

Ramaco Resources Inc. on March 19 reported net income of $3.4 million, or 8 cents per share, in the fourth quarter of 2018, compared with a loss of $2.6 million, or 7 cents per share, a year earlier.

The S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus normalized earnings estimate for the fourth quarter was 6 cents per share.

Revenue was $44.2 million, compared with $24.0 million a year earlier.

The company reported sales of 410,000 tons of coal in the fourth quarter, compared with 265,000 tons in the fourth quarter a year earlier. The average sales price was $98 per ton.

For the full year of 2018, GAAP net income was $25.1 million, or 62 cents per share, compared with a loss of $15.4 million, or 41 cents per share, the previous year.

The S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus normalized earnings estimate for the year was 65 cents per share.

Revenue for the full year totaled $227.6 million, compared with $61.0 million the previous year.

The company reported sales of 2.1 million tons of coal during the year, compared with 608,000 tons a year earlier. The average sales price was $94 per ton.
