Main Street provides preliminary estimates of Q4'16 results

Main Street Capital Corp. expects distributable net investment income for the fourth quarter of 2016 to be in the range of 60 cents per share to 61 cents per share.

The company expects net investment income to be in the range of 56 cents per share to 57 cents per share for the quarter. Net asset value per share is expected to be between $22.05 and $22.15 as of Dec. 31, 2016, representing an increase of 3.3% to 3.7% from the reported NAV per share of $21.62 as of Sept. 30, 2016, after adjustment for the semiannual supplemental dividend of 27.5 cents per share paid in December 2016.

Main Street attributed the expected increase in NAV per share to net unrealized appreciation relating to its lower middle market, middle market and private loan portfolio investments and the accretive impact from equity issued under its at-the-market equity program.
