L Brands net sales increase 2% YOY in August

Apparel and personal-care products retailer L Brands Inc. on Sept. 6 reported that its net sales for August increased about 2% year over year to $856.3 million from $842.1 million.

For the four weeks ended Sept. 1, the apparel retailer posted a year-over-year increase of 1% in comparable sales.

The owner of Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works noted that its net sales for the 30-week period ended Sept. 1 grew 7% year over year to $6.47 billion, with comparable sales up 2%.
