Consistent with its 2017 integrated resource plan, Avista Corp. is seeking proposals for up to 50 average MW of renewable energy projects.
Avista UtilitiesThe Spokane, Wash.-headquartered company plans to purchase the output of the projects to offset higher-priced market purchases and fossil fuel thermal generation, according to a June 6 news release.
The utility will only accept new "eligible renewable resource" such as wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, hydroelectric or others as defined under Washington's Energy Independence Act. Project proposals should have a minimum net annual output of 5 aMW.
The company will accept proposals until June 20. Additional information is available on the Avista website.
