Wisconsin Public Service seeks to extend base rate freeze through 2019

Wisconsin Public Service Corp. has asked the state Public Service Commission to freeze its base rates for two more years through 2019.

If approved, the proposal would see more than 400,000 WPS electric customers paying the same rates they have been paying since 2016, according to an April 4 release.

Additionally, the WEC Energy Group Inc. asked the PSC to make permanent a pricing option that would allow its industrial customers to manage their energy use more effectively and expand their operations.
