Report: Barclays poaches Deutsche Bank health care bankers

appointed JasonHaas managing director and head of Americas health care and David Levinmanagingdirector and co-head of health care M&A alongside Jed Brody, Reutersreported March 29, citing "people familiar with the matter."

Haasand Levin resigned as head of Americas health care investment banking and headof health care M&A at DeutscheBank AG, respectively, to join Barclays, which is rebuilding itshealth care division after five of its health care bankers to join 's New Yorkoperations. Haas and Levin are scheduled to start at Barclays late in thesecond quarter.

AndrewBhak and Peter Zippelius, Deutsche Bank's co-heads of health care services,left in late 2015 to join JPMorganChase & Co., the newswire noted. According to the sources,other Deutsche Bank health care bankers are also leaving the lender, with EvanMatlin joining Barclays as a director and Andrew Callaway, Deutsche Bank's headof life sciences, moving to WellsFargo & Co.

JamieHeath, who previously worked on the transaction advisory practice of Ernst& Young, is joining Deutsche Bank as managing director as of June 1, thesources reportedly said. Michael Cohen, Deutsche Bank's global head ofinvestment banking, will continue as head of its health care practice.
