S.C. Bermas Q2 profit falls YOY

S.C. Bermas SA said its normalized net income for the second quarter was 5 Romanian bani per share, a decrease of 5.8% from 5 bani per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 995,990 lei, a decline of 5.8% from 1.1 million lei in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 11.7% from 12.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased year over year to 8.5 million lei from 8.7 million lei, and total operating expenses came to 6.6 million lei, compared with 6.6 million lei in the prior-year period.

Reported net income declined 8.1% on an annual basis to 1.5 million lei, or 7 bani per share, from 1.6 million lei, or 7 bani per share.

As of Aug. 12, US$1 was equivalent to 3.99 Romanian lei.
