Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. on Aug. 23 announced a recall of 40,618 of its WagonR vehicles because of potential safety defects.
The recall includes WagonR models that were manufactured between Nov. 15, 2018, and Aug. 12, 2019. These vehicles may have an issue of fuel hose fouling with metal clamp, according to the notice.
The company said it will reach out to owners of affected cars beginning Aug. 24 to replace the faulty parts, free of charge.
