Nagase Brothers Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was ¥180.96 per share, a decline of 6.5% from ¥193.53 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.72 billion, a decline of 6.8% from ¥1.84 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 14.4% from 15.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew year over year to ¥11.94 billion from ¥11.72 billion, and total operating expenses grew 6.3% from the prior-year period to ¥9.35 billion from ¥8.79 billion.
Reported net income decreased 7.4% on an annual basis to ¥1.64 billion, or ¥172.63 per share, from ¥1.77 billion, or ¥185.78 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
