Volkswagen AG subsidiary Skoda will move some of the production of its Karoq SUV model to its parent's site in the German town of Osnabrück beginning at the end of 2018, Reuters reported April 30, citing a company statement.
The Czech company reportedly said the shift to the Osnabrück facility is temporary as most of the SUV's production will remain in the Czech Republic. The site will be in charge of painting and assembling the Skoda Karoq.
The decision will help Skoda meet the high demand for its Karoq model in Germany, the report said.
