Megaworld Corp. will within 2017 commence land development for its planned 30 billion-Philippine-peso central business district in the Philippine province of Pampanga.
The 10-year Capital Town project will encompass 35.6 hectares at the former site of the Pampanga Sugar Development Co. It will provide residential, retail and office towers for business process outsourcing companies, along with other facilities like school and event venues. A quarter of the entire project will be allocated for green and open spaces including road networks, according to the company.
Capital Town is expected to contribute approximately 250,000 direct and indirect jobs upon completion.
As of June 7, US$1 was equivalent to 49.53 Philippine pesos.
