Six Flags to acquire lease rights of 5 EPR Properties parks

Regional theme park company Six Flags Entertainment Corp. signed a deal with affiliates of Premier Parks LLC to acquire the lease rights to operate five EPR Properties-owned parks.

The properties include Wet n' Wild Splashtown in Houston; Wet n' Wild Phoenix in Arizona; Darien Lake near Buffalo, N.Y.; and Frontier City and White Water Bay in Oklahoma City.

The purchases will expand Six Flags' portfolio of North American parks to 25. The parties expect to close the deal in June, following which Six Flags will become the largest waterpark operator in North America, according to a release.
