Bauhaus International fiscal H1 profit climbs 9.7% YOY

Bauhaus International (Holdings) Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 was 4 Hong Kong cents per share, a gain of 7.7% from 4 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was HK$15.5 million, a gain of 9.7% from HK$14.2 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 15.7% on an annual basis to HK$636.3 million from HK$549.8 million, and total operating expenses increased 16.8% from the prior-year period to HK$612.0 million from HK$523.9 million.

Reported net income grew 29.0% year over year to HK$20.9 million, or 6 cents per share, from HK$16.2 million, or 4 cents per share.
