Triton Minerals Ltd. approved the development of the Ancuabe graphite project in Mozambique, it said June 1.
The project will include a new high-value graphite mine with estimated annual production of about 60,000 tonnes per annum of graphite concentrate for over 27 years.
The final investment decision follows a positive definitive feasibility study in December 2017 and development and commercialization activity completed this year.
Construction is expected to kick off in the second half, with first graphite production targeted for the second half of 2019.
