Report: Blackstone's special situations executive leaves

Greg Geiling, senior managing director and head of the hedge fund solutions, special situations investing group at Blackstone Group Inc.., left the company, Reuters reported citing two people familiar with the matter.

Geiling joined the private equity firm in 2011 and oversaw special situations investments at the company's hedge fund unit Blackstone Alternative Asset Management. He resigned from Blackstone earlier this year and left the firm last week, according to sources.

Both Blackstone and Geiling declined to comment on the matter, according to the report.
