Sundaram Finance raises final dividend for fiscal 2016-17

Sundaram Finance Ltd. raised its final dividend for the fiscal year ended March 31 to 6.50 rupees per share from 1 rupee per share in the prior-year period.

If approved, the dividend will be paid July 21 to shareholders on record as of July 5, according to a May 29 bourse filing.

Together with an interim dividend of 5 rupees per share, the company's total dividend for the fiscal year amounted to 11.50 rupees per share, up from a total dividend of 11 rupees per share in the prior fiscal year.

As of May 29, US$1 was equivalent to 64.54 Indian rupees.
