Pergamon Status Q1 profit falls YOY

Pergamon-Status Dis Ticaret AS said its normalized net income for the first quarter amounted to 5 kurus per share, a decline of 51.2% from 10 kurus per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 363,600 lira, a decrease of 30.1% from 520,300 lira in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 45.2% from 42.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 27.6% year over year to 879,790 lira from 1.2 million lira, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to 989,540 lira from 466,280 lira.

Reported net income fell 25.0% on an annual basis to 507,700 lira, or 7 kurus per share, from 676,620 lira, or 13 kurus per share.

As of April 30, US$1 was equivalent to 2.68 Turkish lira.
