Bamboo Capital Partners reached an agreement with public-private platform Smart Africa to support financial technology impact fund BLOC.

The partnership will see Smart Africa support fundraising efforts, providing access to local and regional technology ecosystems including incubators and accelerators, and help sourcing deal flow.

The fund will finance businesses and scalable technology-led solutions, which create opportunities and services for deprived communities in emerging markets.

Earlier, Bamboo capital received €10 million of first-loss capital commitments for its newly launched impact fund from the Government of Togo and Brazilian microfinance technology company Moeda Seeds Bank.
