DTE Electric completes purchase of 60-MW wind farm in Michigan

DTE Electric Co. has completed its acquisition of the approximately 60-MW Stoney Corners wind project in Missaukee County, Mich.

As part of the transaction, the DTE Energy Co. subsidiary completed an internal corporate reorganization and became a subsidiary of the newly formed DTE Electric Holdings LLC.

In another transaction, newly formed DTE Sustainable Generation Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of DTE Electric Holdings, acquired 100% membership interest in the Stoney Corners facility.

Stoney Corners used to be 57.80% owned by Northwestern Wind Energy LLC, 37.74% owned by Muskegon Energy Co., and 4.45% owned by Rock Land LLC. It was managed by Heritage Sustainable Energy.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission cleared the transactions on Aug. 23. (FERC docket EC19-111)
