The Berkeley Group Holdings plc said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Oct. 31 amounted to £1.20 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of £1.21 per share.
EPS decreased year over year from £1.25.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £183.3 million, a decrease from £190.6 million in the prior-year period.
Total revenue increased 11.4% on an annual basis to £1.14 billion from £1.02 billion, and total operating expenses rose 17.4% on an annual basis to £848.0 million from £722.6 million.
Reported net income decreased 5.7% from the prior-year period to £227.8 million, or £1.49 per share, from £241.7 million, or £1.59 per share.
