Oct. 23

J. Bruce Hildebrand, executive vice president and CFO of Abilene, Texas-based First Financial Bankshares Inc., intends to retire in August 2020.

Oct. 22

Republic Bank of Arizona named Brian Ruisinger president and CEO, effective Nov. 4.


Cincinnati Bancorp (MHC)'s board appointed Robert Bedinghaus CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2020.

The boards of banking unit Cincinnati Federal (MHC) and CF Mutual Holding Co., Cincinnati Bancorp's mutual holding company, also named Bedinghaus CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2020. He is the executive board chairman of all three entities and will continue in that role.

Oct. 21

Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta elected Kirk Malmberg executive vice president and COO and Haig Kazazian as senior vice president and CFO, effective Nov. 1.


Neil Hayslett, executive vice president and COO of F & M Bank Corp., retired from the Timberville, Va.-based company Oct. 15.


Elizabeth Beale, who became interim CFO of Old Point Financial Corp. in July, now serves as the Hampton, Va.-based company's senior vice president and CFO. She also now works as executive vice president and CFO of the company's unit Old Point National Bank of Phoebus.

Oct. 18

The board of Muncie, Ind.-based MutualBank named David Heeter president and CEO. The appointment was made after the death of Patrick Botts, who was MutualBank's president and COO.

Heeter is also the president and CEO of MutualFirst Financial Inc., the bank's parent company.


Cathay Bank's board appointed Chang Liu president, effective Oct. 17. He also will continue as the COO of the Los Angeles-based bank.

Oct. 17

Southfield, Mich.-based Sterling Bancorp Inc.'s board appointed current President, COO and CFO Tom Lopp to replace Chairman and CEO Gary Judd, who is retiring.

The company also said Steve Huber, in addition to his current position as CFO of the company's unit Sterling Bank and Trust FSB, will be promoted to CFO and treasurer of Sterling Bancorp.

The transitions are effective Nov. 30.


Columbus, Ohio-based Huntington Bancshares Inc. named Zachary Wasserman senior executive vice president and CFO, effective Nov. 4.

Wasserman replaces Howell McCullough, who previously announced his planned retirement. Wasserman previously was CFO for Visa Inc.'s North American business.
