Citizens Property Insurance Corp. has named board members who filled vacancies on its nine-member board.
The Riverside Real Estate Co. President John McKay succeeds Juan Cocuy. McKay was appointed by Florida's CFO, Jimmy Patronis.
Blake Capps, founding partner at Capps and Huff Roofing Inc., replaces Jim Henderson.
John Wortman returns to Citizens Property's board of governors, replacing Don Glisson.
Additionally, the company has revised timetables for policy changes scheduled for 2018 to address nonweather-related water losses and assignment of benefits issues.
The policy changes include the creation of $10,000 limit on nonweather-related water-loss claims unless repairs are completed by contractors participating in Citizens' managed repair program. The change, originally set to take effect Feb. 1, 2018, will now become effective for new and renewal policies beginning May 1, 2018.
The company also rescheduled for May 1, 2018, requirements that contractors and other third parties adhere to the same disclosure responsibilities as policyholders when they accept an assignment of benefit.
