Martinsville, Va.-based Carter Bank & Trust named Paul Carney senior vice president and director of human resources.

Carney has more than three decades of experience in business and information technology and as a human resources professional and career advocate.


Dennis Hansen retired as operations and systems division manager at Westamerica Bancorp., effective Dec. 31, 2018.

Effective Jan. 2, Brian Donohoe assumed most of Hansen's functional responsibilities as manager of the division. Donohoe joined the San Rafael, Calif.-based company in 1999.
