Image Resources NL announced a 39% increase in the total tonnes of ore reserves for its wholly owned Boonanarring mineral sand project, part of its North Perth Basin property in Western Australia.

The ore reserves now stand at 20.0 million tonnes at 7.2% total heavy minerals, and up to two years of production is now in the proved category. The previous 2013 resource stood at 14.4 million tonnes at 8.3% heavy minerals.

The company said April 10 that it expects a further increase in resource on the back of a recently confirmed 5.6-kilometer extension of mineralization associated with Boonanarring, where drilling returned highlights including 8 meters grading 23.84% heavy minerals and 8 meters grading 21.14% heavy minerals.
