Hyundai Livart Furniture Q2 profit falls YOY

Hyundai Livart Furniture Co. Ltd. said its second-quarter normalized net income was 434.59 South Korean won per share, a decline from 454.48 won per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 7.32 billion won, a decrease from 7.64 billion won in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 4.3% from 4.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined year over year to 171.07 billion won from 173.90 billion won, and total operating expenses decreased from the prior-year period to 159.50 billion won from 161.54 billion won.

Reported net income decreased from the prior-year period to 8.31 billion won, or 493.22 won per share, from 8.54 billion won, or 508.17 won per share.

As of Aug. 17, US$1 was equivalent to 1,183.06 South Korean won.
