Yandal Resources Ltd. outlined an initial mineral resource estimate for the Flushing Meadows gold deposit, part of its Ironstone Well gold project in Western Australia.
The deposit hosts 4.6 million tonnes at 1.29 g/t gold containing 190,000 ounces at a cutoff of 0.5 g/t gold. The resource has a higher-grade component of 2.8 million tonnes at 1.63 g/t gold containing 147,000 ounces at a cutoff of 1.0 g/t gold.
The company said Sept. 24 that the majority of the estimate is in the inferred category and could be upgraded to the indicated category with infill drilling.
The estimate is based on 3,494 sample intervals from 298 historical and recent reverse circulation holes and four historical diamond holes.
The company is planning to conduct reverse circulation and aircore drilling in early October to expand resources, confirm historical mineralization and explore new mineralization leads.
