Tyson Foods recalls chicken patties over possible contamination

Tyson Foods Inc. is recalling about 39,078 pounds of Weaver frozen chicken patty product due to possible contamination from extraneous materials, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Aug. 15.

The recall involves 26-ounce bags of fully cooked chicken patties with a use-by date of Jan. 31, 2020. The affected products were produced on Jan. 31.

The problem was discovered after Tyson Foods informed the Food Safety and Inspection Service of consumer complaints.
