Teladoc Inc. said it acquired Advance Medical, a virtual healthcare provider outside the U.S., to expand its international footprint.
Financial terms of the transaction, which took effect May 31, were not disclosed.
The deal will merge Advance Medical's international clinical capabilities with Teladoc's technology and operational scale to create a comprehensive global virtual care platform, Purchase, N.Y.-based Teladoc said.
Advance Medical co-founders Carlos Nueno and Marc Subirats will become part of Teladoc's executive team, and continue to lead the Advance Medical business outside the U.S.
Teladoc is a provider of telehealth services worldwide. Advance Medical's partners include over 300 multinational employers and insurers across Europe, Asia, Latin America and the U.S.
