Semba Tohka Industries Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥3.46 per share, an increase of 6.8% from ¥3.24 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥39.4 million, an increase of 6.8% from ¥36.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 1.1% from 1.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 5.1% year over year to ¥3.64 billion from ¥3.84 billion, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to ¥3.60 billion from ¥3.77 billion.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥13.0 million, or a loss of ¥1.14 per share, compared to income of ¥79.0 million, or ¥6.94 per share, in the prior-year period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥25.09 per share, an increase of 42.8% from ¥17.57 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥285.6 million, an increase of 42.8% from ¥200.0 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose year over year to ¥15.93 billion from ¥15.24 billion, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to ¥15.46 billion from ¥14.88 billion.
The company said reported net income totaled ¥226.0 million, or ¥19.85 per share, in the full year, compared with ¥225.0 million, or ¥19.76 per share, the prior year.
