Canada Life Assurance names 3 board nominees

Michael Amend, Paula Madoff and Elizabeth Lempres are nominated to join Canada Life Assurance Co.'s board.

Amend is executive vice president of omnichannel at J.C. Penney Corp. Inc. Madoff was a partner and head of sales and distribution for interest rate products and mortgages at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. until her retirement in 2017, while Lempres is senior partner emeritus at McKinsey.

Canada Life Assurance shareholders will vote on the election of directors at the May 3 annual meeting.
