Big Lots names chief customer officer

Discount retailer Big Lots Inc. on Feb. 5 disclosed the appointment of Stephen Haffer as senior vice president and chief customer officer of the company.

Haffer will also be a member of Big Lots' executive leadership team where he will be in charge of customer engagement and messaging touchpoints, including marketing, advertising, brand development and e-commerce.

Haffer most recently served as an executive at home furnishing retailer American Signature Inc.
