Lloyd's of London will establish an office in Miami to enhance its presence in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Daniel Revilla, regional director for Lloyd's, wrote in a letter published on the Independent Network of Latam Insurance Professionals blog that he will continue to lead the market's team in the area from the new office in Florida.
Revilla also disclosed that Yelhis Hernández will be appointed country manager for Mexico, subject to regulatory approval, while a search for a new Colombia country manager is expected to start soon.
Revilla noted that Latin America accounts for close to $1.5 billion of premium.
