UK
* Persimmon PLC deputized Senior Independent Director Nigel Mills as acting chairman of the board, following Nicholas Wrigley's resignation on Feb 26. Mills will concurrently take on chairmanship of the nomination committee and hold the board chairman post until it is permanently filled.
* GCP Student Living Plc welcomed Gillian Day as a nonexecutive director of the company Feb. 23. Day is head of private and institutional capital engagement at CDC Group Plc.
* Hansteen Holdings Plc installed Jim Clarke as an independent nonexecutive director Feb. 27. The industrial real estate investment trust also announced the departure of Rebecca Worthington, who will resign as chairman of the audit committee March 20. Following her exit, Clarke, who served as group CFO of Countrywide Plc until July 2017, will assume the vacated position.
* U and I Group PLC brought in Eoin Condren as director of joint ventures, according to a Feb. 21 release. Condren will oversee nonpublic sector joint venture relationships and carry out sourcing and executing acquisitions in the company's three core markets.
France
* Former Gecina Chief Information Officer Fabrice Ruchaud took on the same role at Société Foncière Lyonnaise. Ruchaud will report to Chief Resources Officer François Sebillotte and play a key role in the real estate investment trust's "transformation in a sector that increasingly uses digital technologies."
* Gecina director Isabelle Courville will step down from her seat at the board, effective at the company's April 18 annual general meeting. The diversified real estate investment trust also bid farewell to board chairman Bernard Michel, whose term of office came to a close.
Moving ahead, Gecina pitched in the names of Bernard Carayon and Gabrielle Gauthey as directors. The nominees will stand for election at the meeting for four-year terms, after which Carayon will seek to be appointed as board chairman, in place of Michel.
Finland
* Citycon Oyj's two current members, Rachel Lavine and Claes Ottosson, are slated to leave the board. Additionally, the grocery-anchored shopping center owner and developer is poised to name Ofer Stark its new board member at the March 20 annual general meeting.
Poland
* Globe Trade Centre SA will appoint Olivier Brahin a member of its supervisory board March 1. Holder of Globe Trade Centre's 61.13% share capital, LSREF III GTC Investments BV, tendered Brahin's name for the role.
Sweden
* D. Carnegie & Co. announced that its interim CEO Svein Erik Lilleland will take on the role permanently, according to a Feb. 21 release.
