Report: Blackstone selling NYC office tower to Savanna for $640M

Blackstone Group LP agreed to sell the 5 Bryant Park office tower in New York City to fellow private equity firm Savanna for $640 million, The Real Deal reported.

The parties reached a deal late during the week ending March 2. The 665,000-square-foot property is roughly 97%-occupied by tenants such as Seamless, Movable Ink and HOK Architects, sources told the publication.

The 34-story building at 1065 Sixth Ave. was placed back on the market in late 2017 after an earlier bid to sell the property failed in 2016.

A spokesperson for Blackstone did not comment on the matter. Representatives for Savanna and brokers JLL and HFF were not immediately available for comments, according to the publication.
